Job summary

Mackie Myers has partnered with a rapidly growing business in Bicester to appoint a Management Accountant into their expanding finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the business during a period of growth.

The role focuses on producing monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting support, cashflow planning and strong financial controls, with involvement in statutory reporting and stock accounting. Progression and study towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA are supported.

Qualifications

• Qualified and actively studying towards ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of UK accounting principles, including VAT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and P&L variance analysis.
• Prepare VAT returns and support statutory and audit requirements.
• Maintain and update weekly cashflow forecasts, analysing key variances.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, liaising with management.
• Contribute to systems improvements and act as systems administrator.
• Ensure accurate stock records and manage stock takes.
• Provide cover for AP, AR, and banking activities as required.
