Job summary

Mackie Myers, on behalf of a rapidly growing business in Bicester, is seeking a Management Accountant to join the expanding finance team. You will produce monthly management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and help maintain strong financial controls.

The role covers management reporting, cashflow forecasting, statutory support, stock accounting, and system improvements. Manufacturing/stock accounting experience is valued, with ACCA/ACA/CIMA study encouraged.

Qualifications

• Qualified or actively studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of UK accounting principles including VAT compliance.
• Experience using ERP or finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and P&L variance analysis
• Prepare VAT returns and support statutory/audit requirements
• Maintain and update weekly cashflow forecasts, analyse variances
• Support budgeting and forecasting, liaise with management
• Contribute to finance systems improvements and act as systems administrator
• Ensure accurate stock records and manage stock takes
• Provide cover for AP, AR, and banking activities as required
• Work towards professional accounting qualification
• Manufacturing and stock accounting experience expected
