Trinity House Group is partnering directly with a highly acquisitive PE-backed business in the Tech / Telecoms industry for the role of Senior Management Accountant. This role is critical to the success of the business as you will be responsible for processing and analyzing the results of various products and services.

Each day will present different challenges, including networking and influencing colleagues, supporting the training and development needs of the Management Accounts team, integrating acquisitions, and reviewing monthly results. You will need to work to tight deadlines, so being methodical and organized is essential.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager, Management Accountants, and the wider finance team to ensure accurate month-end reporting for acquisitions.
  • Manage a team of management accountants and assistant management accountants (3 in total).
  • Own all ledgers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Document accounting processes and procedures.
  • Perform variance analysis across the P&L, investigating and resolving issues with departments, including regular and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Engage in business partnering across the organization.
  • Propose ideas for continuous improvement and support their implementation.
  • Assist with statutory and financial accounting processes.
  • Monitor and coordinate specific month-end (and year-end) activities according to the close timetable.
  • Lead the closing schedule and assign tasks during the close, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and review all scheduled balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Conduct stock reconciliations.
  • Support year-end processes and the submission of documentation for external audits.
  • Oversee fixed asset reporting and accounting processes.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Management Accounts role or similar is essential.
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience with acquisitions is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience with Sage200 is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, PivotTables, IF statements).
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong prioritization skills to handle multiple assignments and serve as a reliable 'go-to' team member.
  • Ability to complete complex tasks quickly and react with urgency when needed.
  • High work ethic and ambition to grow with a rapidly expanding business.
  • Reliable and approachable demeanor.
