The Pharmacist Network, based in Newcastle, is seeking a Senior Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is hybrid (3 days onsite) and focuses on monthly management accounts, consolidation, and financial reporting to drive group decisions.

You will lead budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards while supporting audits and stakeholder reporting.

Qualifications

Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years' experience in finance roles, healthcare/private sector preferred.
Proficient in Sage and advanced Excel; experience with Xero/Zoho desirable.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and financial reporting.
Own month-end and year-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations.
Collaborate with Senior Leadership to shape decision-making.
Maintain day-to-day finance operations including payroll support and supplier payments.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC, UK GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Job Title: Senior Management Accountant 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom

Structure: Hybrid working 3 days onsite

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer

Main duties of the job

We are currently seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join TPN group on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role plays a key part in ensuring the continued effective management of the organisation's financial operations. Working in a small team, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow management and day-to-day financial controls across the Group.

The Pharmacist Network provides managed pharmacist and pharmacy technician services to NHS primary care. Currently a team of 250+ pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, we are providing services to over 500+ GP practice sites across the UK.

MORPh offers a wide range of educational sessions, academies and our educational platform to help those working in Primary Care to progress their CPD.

Take ownership on month-end and year-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the chart of accounts.

Maintain day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll support, and supplier payments.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, active cash flow forecasting and management, and financial planning activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Proficient in Sage and advanced Excel, with hands-on experience building financial models, budgets and forecasts
Experience with Xero and Zoho is desirable.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of UK financial regulations.
Experience in financial planning, analysis, and management reporting.
