Job description

We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join our Whiteley-based Cost-focused Management Accounts team.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to lead an existing team in a role that offers variety, with operational and management accounting responsibilities. It combines financial reporting, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement within a collaborative environment.

As our Senior Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for the accurate accounting, reporting, and budgeting of the Group's operating costs. You will lead a team of four, supporting and developing them as you oversee prepayments, payroll journals, fixed assets, IFRS 16 postings, and intercompany transactions. Your role includes reviewing monthly management accounts, maintaining financial controls, and improving processes.

You will work closely with cost centre owners, helping them understand their budgets and performance, and serve as a trusted partner to internal and external stakeholders, including auditors. Your responsibilities also include oversight of the purchase ledger, ensuring vendor payments, reconciliations, and VAT compliance are managed accurately and efficiently.
