Responsibilities

• Line-manage a small team with day-to-day support and guidance.
• Prepare and review forecasts, support the annual budget cycle.
• Build relationships with operational stakeholders.
• Prepare & review forecasts. Support the annual budget cycle with structured analysis and challenge.
• Build relationships with operational stakeholders, providing clear, actionable financial insight.
• Review packs, journals and forecasts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Act as the go‑to escalation point for technical queries and process challenges.
• Support the growth and development of junior colleagues, promoting high standards across the team.
• Take full ownership of a portfolio of management accounts — P&L, commentary, variance analysis and supporting files.
• Ensure a smooth, well‑controlled month‑end alongside the wider team.
• Maintain high‑quality, audit‑ready working papers.
• Identify inefficiencies and help refine processes within the management accounts function.
• Own specific technical areas such as reconciliations, recharges or payroll journals.
