Wade Macdonald is seeking a Senior Management Accountant in London to strengthen the finance function. You will coordinate monthly and quarterly closes, produce balance sheet reconciliations, and support external audits to deliver reliable financial information.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will reinforce internal governance, develop cash flow projections and help identify process improvements, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to financial process enhancements.

Responsabilidades

• Co-ordinate monthly and quarterly financial close activities, delivering accurate results within deadlines.
• Produce and oversee balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and maintain strong financial oversight.
• Assist Financial Controller to reinforce internal governance and ensure control records are maintained.
• Develop cash flow projections, assess performance against expectations and identify financial exposures.
• Deliver quarterly financial analysis and commentary across P&L and balance sheet for Group Finance.
• Assist with external audit processes and respond to information requests across the business.
• Prepare financial data to support corporation tax and VAT reporting requirements.
• Provide guidance and review outputs of junior and intermediate management accounting colleagues.
• Ensure financial practices align with Group policies and accounting regulations and streamline reporting.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a recently qualified accountant to join a busy finance team, playing an important role in delivering reliable financial information and maintaining effective financial controls. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for key reporting activities, support the wider accounting team and help identify opportunities to enhance financial processes.

Duties will include:

• Coordinating monthly and quarterly financial close activities, delivering accurate results within established deadlines.
• Producing and overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and maintaining strong financial oversight.
• Working alongside the Financial Controller to reinforce internal governance and ensure appropriate control records are maintained.
• Developing cash flow projections, assessing performance against expectations and identifying potential financial exposures.
• Delivering quarterly financial analysis and commentary across profit and loss and balance sheet performance for Group Finance.
• Managing elements of the external audit process, responding to information requests and working with colleagues across the business.
• Compiling financial data to support corporation tax and VAT reporting requirements.
• Providing guidance and reviewing the output of junior and intermediate management accounting colleagues.
• Ensuring financial practices remain aligned with Group policies and relevant accounting regulations.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline reporting procedures, improve accuracy and strengthen financial controls.

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a recently qualified accountant with a solid background in management accounting, financial reporting and internal controls. Previous experience supporting external audits is essential, alongside excellent analytical skills and a meticulous approach to accuracy. You will be confident communicating with finance and non-finance colleagues, demonstrating a proactive attitude towards improving processes and supporting the development of others.
