The purpose of this role is to maintain effective control over the Company’s financial reporting systems and procedures, enabling the production of accurate, timely, and relevant management information, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies, as part of the Central Management Accounts team.
Participate in the Balance Sheet Review process, performing reviews, and acting on queries and improvements
Deliver high-quality customer service to the business
Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external Audit partners
Provide accurate financial and management information to the business
Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects, seeking opportunities and implementing solutions
Review and control of standard output and KPIs
Support the Finance Manager with workload organization, tasks, and team timetables
Map and design efficient end-to-end processes
Adhere to STARK UK policies, procedures, and Internal Control Framework
Monitor, analyze, and interpret actual performance against budgets and targets
Provide day-to-day financial support, analysis, and advice for business projects as required
Assist Business Finance Controllers in preparing management information and forecasts
Relevant accounting qualification: ACCA, CIMA, ACA
IT/PC literacy, especially Microsoft Excel & Office
Good business acumen and commercial awareness
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build relationships with non-financial staff
Accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail
Drive for continuous improvement and efficiency
Flexible, analytical, and methodical problem-solving approach, capable of managing changing workloads and multitasking
Self-motivated with initiative for business improvement
Teamwork skills
Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize information
Knowledge of distribution/multi-location business (preferred but not essential)
