Job summary

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to ensure our site runs safely, efficiently and reliably. You will manage maintenance on plant and workshop machinery, lead installations, and work with external contractors to uphold high standards.

You’ll also review safety documents, diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement through standard setting and problem analysis.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in maintenance.
• Able to read schematic circuit diagrams and line schematics; able to work at height.
• Full driving licence and IT literacy (Excel and Word).

Responsibilities

• Oversee completion of maintenance activities on plant and workshop machinery.
• Lead new installations and supervise external contractors.
• Review health and safety documentation prior to work on site.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on facility plant and workshop equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and ad-hoc maintenance requests.
• Produce service reports for all work carried out.
• Produce risk assessments and COSHH assessments for maintenance operations.
• Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to repair, replace or maintain equipment.
