Job summary

Vectis Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a maintenance function at a busy manufacturing site in Birmingham, UK. The role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and maintaining a safe, productive environment.

You will develop and drive PPM programmes while coaching the team, partnering with engineering and operations to meet site objectives and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior maintenance role leading teams.
• Strong understanding of PPM, reactive maintenance and CI.
• Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the maintenance team.
• Ensure plant, machinery and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
• Develop and implement effective planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.
• Identify opportunities to improve machinery efficiency, reliability and productivity.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with health & safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the maintenance budget and control expenditure.
• Support engineering projects, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with other leadership team colleagues to achieve site objectives.
• Coach, mentor and develop the maintenance team.
