Join Chadwick Lodge in Milton Keynes as a Senior Maintenance Assistant where you will be part of creating a well-presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society.

As a Senior Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the service's facilities are fit for purpose, including gardening and conducting regular audits to identify and repair faults, ensuring safety for service users, staff, and visitors.

You will work alongside an established team, handling all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
• Applying good DIY skills to maintain safety.
• Performing regular checks and maintenance.
• Repairing and maintaining all buildings.
• Reporting faults and defects to a manager.
• Participating in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
• Supporting contractors on site and completing all necessary paperwork and tool checks.

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Have previous experience in maintenance.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times.
• Attend and participate in training and staff meetings.

Work location:

You will work at Chadwick Lodge and Eaglestone View, providing specialist treatment for service users detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) with a history of offending behavior.

The services offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions involving service users at every stage. The multidisciplinary team has extensive experience in forensic psychiatry, aiming to reduce re-offending and improve quality of life.
