Job summary

CAMERON CLARKE ASSOCIATES t/a talent-finder is recruiting for a Machining Trainer in Malton, North Yorkshire. The role is full-time and permanent, delivering Level 3 machining training to apprentices aged 16 and above.

You will combine practical machining expertise with teaching, coaching and assessment, planning lessons, tracking progress and maintaining accurate records. The position involves workshop and classroom delivery, with involvement in curriculum development and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Strong practical machining experience across conventional milling, turning and CNC machining.
• Experience teaching or training others in a workshop or classroom setting.
• Ability to plan lessons, assess learners and maintain training records.
• Knowledge of CNC setting, operation and programming is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Level 3 machining training to apprentices.
• Teach conventional milling and turning, CNC machining and general workshop practices.
• Deliver practical workshop instruction and classroom-based technical learning.
• Assess learner competence and monitor progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance activities.
