Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join a leading mechanical and electrical contractor. You will oversee projects valued between £5m and £25m, with a view to progressing to Managing Quantity Surveyor in a short timeframe.

You will manage your own work packages, review cost plans, and report on cost and labour efficiency while collaborating with a team across CAT A/B Shell & Core environments.

Qualifications

• Relevant Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent
• Strong commercial understanding of construction contracts
• Detailed knowledge of QS role and responsibilities
• Able to work effectively in a team
• Enthusiastic can-do attitude and reliable character

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues to understand mechanical and electrical systems and project requirements
• Manage own work packages and deliver to professional standards
• Prepare detailed priced bills of quantities from drawings/isometrics covering labour and materials
• Monitor project expenditure, labour hours, and progress against earned-value measures
• Produce take-offs and cost plans and review cost and labour efficiency throughout delivery
• Present take-offs clearly and in accordance with NRM2 requirements
