Job summary

My client in the North East is seeking aSenior Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established M&E contractor/ building contractor. You will handle multiple projects across the North East, Yorkshire and North West, with hospital and educational schemes, focusing on measurement, valuations, subcontracts and cost control.

You will need a degree in Quantity Surveying and be or on track for MRICS; experience with Design & Build and JCT/NEC is essential. Excellent progression and salary package offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry for a main contractor on Design & Build
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Degree qualified and member of RICS or IOB (or progressing)

Responsibilities

• Analyse tender allowances
• Measure and value works on site and from drawings
• Submit interim valuations and final accounts
• Administer Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
• Manage subcontract and design procurement
• Process subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
• Prepare cost to complete
• Produce CVR and cash flow reports
