Job summary

Options Resourcing, on behalf of a leading building services contractor, is seeking a Senior M&E Project Engineer to join their expanding team in Bristol. You will own the delivery of M&E projects from concept through to handover, providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams while managing client relationships and project budgets.

The role offers exposure to commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and mission-critical developments, with opportunities for career progression

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven experience as Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer.
• Strong understanding of M&E design, coordination and project delivery.
• Experience on commercial, industrial, healthcare, infrastructure, data centre, or mission-critical projects.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications and BIM models.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of medium-sized projects while supporting larger developments.
• Lead project engineering activities from design development through to construction and handover.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and project teams.
• Build strong client relationships and support business development opportunities.
• Review BIM models and design coordination outputs to ensure accurate delivery.
• Assist with project costing, procurement, tender documentation, and contractor evaluations.
• Ensure design information, quantities and project data are coordinated and verified.
• Support site teams to ensure installations follow approved designs and specs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, building standards and statutory requirements.
• Monitor project delivery against programme, budget and performance objectives.
