Job summary

Options Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of a leading building services contractor seeking an ambitious and technically strong Senior Project Engineer (M&E) to join their expanding team. The role offers ownership of medium-sized projects, technical leadership, and opportunities to advance into engineering management.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer position.
• Strong understanding of M&E design, coordination, and project delivery.
• Experience on commercial, industrial, healthcare, infrastructure, data centre, or mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of medium-sized projects and support larger, complex developments.
• Lead project engineering activities from design development through construction and handover.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and project teams.
• Support professional development and technical growth of junior team members.
• Undertake engineering calculations, testing, analysis, and validation activities.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, submissions, and designs.
• Lead feasibility studies, value engineering, budgeting, and solution development.
• Produce and coordinate detailed mechanical, electrical, and building services designs.
• Act as technical lead to ensure quality and compliance throughout projects.
• Build and maintain client relationships to support business development.
• Review BIM models and design coordination outputs for accurate delivery.
• Assist with project costing, procurement, tender documentation, and contract administration.
• Ensure design information and project data are coordinated and verified.
• Support site teams to ensure installations align with designs and specs.
