Job summary

Sphere Solutions seeks an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join its Bristol team, supporting projects from pre-construction through delivery and coordinating design, procurement and installation with project, design and commercial teams.

You will work on tender reviews, design coordination, Q&As, site inspections and commissioning, with a focus on quality, safety and maintainability, and you can expect a competitive package and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering mechanical building services packages within construction.
• Background with a main contractor or M&E contractor.
• Engineering degree, HNC/HND or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support tender and pre-construction activities including design reviews, buildability assessments and value engineering.
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to deliver fully integrated M&E solutions.
• Manage technical queries, RFIs and design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead coordination of mechanical services, ensuring compliance with specifications, programme and budget.
• Review and approve technical submissions, installation drawings and commissioning information.
• Monitor procurement, factory testing and delivery of plant and equipment.
• Carry out site inspections and support construction teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure designs meet quality, safety, maintainability and commissioning requirements.
