Job summary

The Labour Group in Central London is seeking an experienced M&E Pre-Construction Director to lead the pre-construction function across residential, mixed-use and commercial sectors. You will report to the Managing Director and drive strategy, winning projects and overseeing a team of engineers.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical qualification required.
• Proven experience leading pre-construction on major M&E projects.
• Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
• Experience delivering projects valued up to £50m M&E is highly desirable.
• Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the M&E pre-construction function from enquiry to handover.
• Oversee multiple tenders and negotiated projects simultaneously.
• Mentor and develop a team of pre-construction engineers.
• Collaborate with MD to shape strategy and secure future opportunities.
• Review technical submissions, VE proposals and project programmes.
• Coordinate with estimating, design and delivery teams to ensure viability.
