Barclays Capital seeks a senior legal professional to oversee compliance for principal / own-account merger and acquisition activities, minority investments, and corporate reorganisations. You will guide due diligence, deal structuring, and drafting, while representing the bank in related proceedings and ensuring ongoing regulatory alignment.

You will also lead training on legal and regulatory requirements and identify emerging risks to strengthen controls across the function.

Formación

• Extensive experience advising on mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across transactional documents.
• Ability to identify and manage legal risks and regulatory changes.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement best practice legal strategies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide legal advice to mergers, minority investments, and corporate reorganisations on due diligence, deal structuring, and drafting.
• Represent the bank in litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations related to M&A and reorganisations.
• Draft and review acquisition and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and other transactional documents.
• Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes affecting M&A and reorganisations.
• Develop and deliver training on legal and regulatory requirements for relevant teams.
