Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Vice President to join the MAST Legal team in the UK to manage complex M&A and strategic transactions on a global scale. The role involves leading cross-border deals, advising senior management, and coordinating with multiple internal teams and external advisers.

Qualifications

• Advising on UK Corporate/M&A law including UK Listing Rules
• Ability to prioritise high volume work and operate independently and globally
• Strong deal experience across M&A and related transactions
• Excellent communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Support or lead complex cross-border transactions across the full M&A lifecycle—from early assessment and structuring to due diligence, negotiation, signing and closing.
• Lead Principal Investments transactions.
• Prepare and present clear legal advice to senior management and boards for informed decision making.
• Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks with subject matter experts.
• Select, instruct and manage external advisers globally, ensuring quality and cost control.
• Develop AI use cases and provide legal training to stakeholders.
