Job summary

Odfjell Technology Ltd. in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced LOLER Inspection Technical Authority to join the RIS Team and lead lifting equipment governance across onshore and offshore sites.

The role requires deep LO LER/PUWER knowledge, competence assurance expertise, and a track record in incident investigations while ensuring safe, auditable delivery and independence of reporting. The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of lifting equipment experience, offshore qualifications,

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in lifting equipment and related inspection activity.
• 5+ years in senior technical, supervisory or assurance roles.
• Experience with written schemes of examination and defect dispositions.
• Experience developing competence assurance schemes for inspection personnel.
• Knowledge of LOLER 1998, PUWER 1998, HSE L113/L22 guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance for lifting equipment thorough examination across RIS UK.
• Maintain compliant examination arrangements onshore, offshore and client sites.
• Ensure safe, auditable delivery and independence of reporting.
• Coordinate interfaces among dutyholder, Technical Authority and inspectors.
• Advise on new lifting equipment specifications and lifecycle integrity.
• Participate in incident investigations and communicate findings.
