Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a Senior Lifting Equipment Inspector to lead inspection scopes and supervise a team of inspectors in both onshore and offshore environments. The role requires ensuring thorough examination of cranes and lifting gear, adherence to statutory standards and client procedures, and delivering clear inspection reports.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years’ lifting equipment examination experience, relevant certifications (OGUK Medical, BOSIET, POB), strong English communication,

Qualifications

• OGUK Medical is required.
• Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) is required.
• Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) is required.
• Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CAEBS) is required.
• Bi-Deltoid Shoulder Measurement is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in lifting equipment examination scopes.
• LEEA Foundation Course is required.
• IRATA Rope Access Level 1 is required.
• MPI – SNT or PCN Level 2 is required.
• Eye Test is required.
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
• IT literate with good understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio etc.).

Responsibilities

• Inspection & thorough examination of lifting equipment in accordance with statutory requirements and client specs.
• Make decisions for inspection results within competence.
• Liaise with client focal point and onshore management to communicate scope details.
• Operate Oceaneering procedures and database.
• Ensure inspections meet applicable specifications.
• Produce clear reports detailing methods, results and findings.
• Mentor less experienced inspectors and support on-site monitoring.
• Assist with witness and peer assessments of personnel.
• Identify training/competency needs and support workforce development.
