Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a Senior Planner to join the Logistics Management Centre in Worthing, handling tankering operations across the region. You will liaise with drivers and clients to ensure efficient scheduling of non-hazardous liquids and maintain accurate planning records.

The role requires experience in planning or logistics, proficiency with Microsoft 365, and strong interpersonal and prioritisation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning or logistics roles is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise across multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Update the job details in Big Change / Ortec based on new information or feedback.
• Close jobs on Big Change if not carried out by drivers.
• Escalate unresolves backlogs to relevant managers.
• Ensure all planning, job, and locations spreadsheets current and accurate.
• Maintain shared inboxes with timely responses and organised records.
• Capture and log all customer and contractor communications.
• Track Tankering departure timings via samsara.
• Monitor and respond to reactive work requests and escalations.
• Maintain live operative locations spreadsheets for accurate deployment.
• Coordinate with drivers to confirm dispatch times, routes and availabilities.
• Review and assign client requests promptly via Big change / Ortec.
• Capture and log changes to job details, site notes and client feedback.
• Update compliance reports and speak to relevant management for any failings.
• Record downtime, delays and reasons for missed SLAs
• Any ad-hoc from lead planner
