Job summary

The Bradford Council is seeking a permanent Registered Care Manager to support Fletcher Court Extra Care, a 69-apartment scheme providing varying levels of support for independent living.

The role requires leading staff teams, ensuring CQC compliance, managing budgets and driving quality improvement. A 37-hour week includes early/late shifts and some weekends; an enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Significant management or supervisory experience in health or social care.
• Experience leading and developing staff teams.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Experience with safeguarding duties under the Care Act 2014 and working with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and professional leadership to multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, statutory requirements and council policies.
• Manage budgets and resources to deliver high-quality services.
• Lead service planning, performance management and outcome monitoring.
• Support, develop and motivate staff through supervision and workforce development.
• Ensure safeguarding duties are met under the Care Act 2014.
• Drive continuous quality improvement and innovation.
• Promote a culture of accountability, learning, respect and excellence.
• Develop partnerships with people who use the service, families and partner organisations.
• Support the Registered Care Manager in keeping services safe and well-governed.
