Job summary

Bradford Council is seeking a Locality Care Manager within the Department of Adult Social Care & Health. The role leads a multidisciplinary team, ensures compliance with safeguarding and CQC standards, and drives continuous quality improvement to support people to live independently and with dignity.

You will oversee service planning, performance monitoring, and workforce development, while maintaining strong partnerships with service users, families, and partner organisations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of working in a management or supervisory role within health or social care.
• Experience of leading and developing staff teams.
• Experience of safeguarding adults and understanding the duties arising from the Care Act 2014.
• Experience of working with diverse communities and individuals from a range of cultural, faith and social backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and make sound operational decisions.
• Experience of service planning, performance monitoring and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and professional leadership to multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are discharged effectively and in accordance with the Care Act 2014.
• Lead service planning, performance management and outcome monitoring.
• Develop and motivate staff through regular supervision, appraisal and workforce development activities.
• Ensure services are safe, well-governed and compliant with relevant legislation and CQC standards.
• Build positive relationships with people who use the service, families and partner agencies.
