Job summary

City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking a Locality Care Manager in Bradford. The role provides leadership to multidisciplinary teams, ensures services meet CQC standards and legal requirements, and drives continuous quality improvement with a focus on safe, well-governed care.

You will manage budgets, develop staff, and build partnerships with service users, families and partner organisations to deliver high-quality outcomes for adults in the community.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of working in a management or supervisory role within health or social care.
• Experience of leading and developing staff teams.
• Experience of safeguarding adults and understanding duties arising from the Care Act 2014.
• Experience of working with diverse communities and individuals from a range of backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound operational decisions.
• Experience of service planning, performance monitoring and quality assurance.
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent recognised qualification).

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and professional leadership to multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, statutory requirements and Council policies.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to deliver high-quality services.
• Drive continuous quality improvement and innovation.

• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with people who use the service, families, colleagues and partner organisations.
• Lead service planning, performance management and outcome monitoring.
• Support, develop and motivate staff through regular supervision, appraisal and workforce development activities.
• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are discharged effectively and in accordance with the Care Act 2014.
