Job summary

Springcare Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team in Stapleford. The role runs Monday to Friday 8-4 with on-call expectations, including some evenings and weekends, supporting a safe, well-maintained environment for residents.

The successful candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills, able to work independently, and committed to high-quality workmanship while ensuring residents’ needs are respected.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance in a care home or similar environment.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and safety equipment.
• Commitment to high standards of safety and quality.
• Hold a valid full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and general building repairs (locks, doors, fittings).
• Carry out routine checks on equipment and services (fire alarms, extinguishers, fire doors).
• Do minor plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating tasks.
• Keep exterior of the home clean, tidy and free from trip hazards; change light bulbs.
• Take utility meter readings and assist with boiler checks.
• Respond to ad hoc maintenance needs as required.
