Job summary

Springcare Ltd in the East Midlands is seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The role runs Monday to Friday 8:00–16:00 with on-call evenings and weekends, supporting a safe, well-maintained environment for our residents.

You will perform preventative maintenance, basic plumbing and carpentry, painting, and routine checks, with a focus on safety and high standards. A full driving licence and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance and general building repairs such as repairing broken locks, doors, and other loose fittings.
• Carrying out routine checks on equipment and services (fire alarms, extinguishers, fire doors).
• Minor plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Painting and decorating.
• Keeping the exterior of the home clean and free from trip hazards.
• Changing light bulbs and maintaining stock of bulbs, batteries and equipment.
• Checking that lights and equipment are working before weekends/bank holidays.
• Providing meter readings for utilities and boilers.
