Job summary

The Portfolio Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Litigation Executive with a focus on Employment Law to manage a caseload through all stages of tribunal proceedings.

You will prepare cases, draft responses and witness statements, liaise with tribunals and clients, and contribute to a high-quality service for business owners. LPC/BPTC and solid litigation experience are essential. This role offers progression opportunities and exposure to a multinational client base.

Qualifications

• Law degree (or GDL) and professional qualification (LPC/BPTC) required.
• Experience handling full litigation processes for own caseload is essential.
• Employment law knowledge is desirable for this role.

Responsibilities

• Review Tribunal and Early Conciliation matters, including complex open track matters.
• Draft responses, witness statements and relevant applications.
• Manage document disclosure and creation of court bundles.
• Liaise with Tribunals, claimants' representatives and clients.
• Discuss merits of cases and aim for commercially favourable settlements.
• Support corporate clients as a dedicated Litigation Executive.
• Conduct preliminary hearings by telephone.

Portfolio are proud to be exclusively representing our award-wining, multinational HR & Employment Law services client in their search for a Senior Litigation Executive, specialising in Employment Law.

In this role you will be dealing with case preperation before Employment tribunal, working on behalf of Business owners to assess tribunal matters, create court bundles,witness statements etc. You must be educated to LPC / BPTC and have Litigation experience - handling full litigation process for your own caseload. Employment law knowledge is desirable due to the nature of the business. In return you will gain fantastic knowledge and amazing progression opportunies. This role will also count towards QWE.

Job Purpose

To assist our broad spectrum of clients with Employment Tribunal matters, from advising on merits of the case, drafting responses to exchanging witness statements as well as conducting telephone preliminary hearings, and assist our clients with Early Conciliation and Tribunal matters by assuming conduct, from advising on merits of a case, drafting responses to exchanging witness statements as well as completing telephone preliminary hearings.

Job Overview

We are looking for a bright, confident, legally-qualified individual, preferably with employment law experience, to work in a dynamic team and cover all aspects of case preparation. The ideal candidate will relish assuming responsibility for a caseload in a fast-paced but supportive team environment. The focus is on great client service, along with a firm commercial approach, and we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills to provide that.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Reviewing Tribunal and Early Conciliation matters including complex open track matters

• Liaising with Tribunals, Claimants' representatives and clients
