Linux Engineer – Quant Trading

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Linux Engineer to join our high-profile client.

Our client is a well-known and highly regarded quantitative trading firm, liquidity provider, and market maker. They operate globally and are considered a market leader. The team comprises some of the most skilled Linux Engineers, Admins, and Programmers, focused on building and improving a platform that powers complex proprietary trading systems. The technology mix includes in-house and open-source solutions, allowing for deep customization and innovation.

You will need:

• A strong background in STEM education, ideally in Computer Science
• Deep knowledge of Linux and operating systems
• Proficiency with command line and shell scripting
• Comfort with modern Linux and programming concepts like C, sockets, virtual memory, etc.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues clearly and effectively
• Understanding of networking protocols
• Experience with debugging tools such as gdb, perf, DTrace, and SystemTap
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Go, Python, Rust, Julia, Java, C++, Scala, Haskell, or others; this is a plus
