Job summary

Sopra Steria in Farnborough is seeking a Deployment and Monitoring Engineer with strong Linux and automation expertise to support a defence client. You will help shape strategy and direction, with hands-on duties maintaining the Linux estate, patching and deploying across environments.

The role requires DV clearance eligibility and is office-based in Farnborough. Proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, Bash and Python is essential, along with stakeholder engagement in a secure setting.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux system administration skills (RHEL/Debian).
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite for patching and configuration management.
• Automation experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and automate Linux estate in a multi-tenant environment.
• Patch, configure and deploy Linux systems ensuring compliance with security frameworks.
• Develop automation strategies using Ansible and Terraform.
