Job summary

Lorien is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join the London onsite team. You will design, develop and implement scalable automation for infrastructure provisioning, testing, and deployment using Python and Ansible within a Linux-based environment.

The role requires strong networking knowledge, REST API experience, and hands-on work with IaC tools like Terraform, plus familiarity with CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer with strong Python and Ansible expertise to support the automation of infrastructure management, certification, and deployment processes. This role is ideal for someone with a background in infrastructure, networking, Linux systems, or platform engineering who has hands‑on experience automating repetitive operational tasks.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to design, develop, and implement scalable automation solutions that improve infrastructure provisioning, testing, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python and Ansible.
• Automate infrastructure installation, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Design and integrate APIs to enable infrastructure‑on‑demand capabilities.
• Perform and automate lab‑based testing for new hardware and software certification.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, engineering, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot automation workflows and continuously improve operational processes.
• Produce technical documentation and maintain automation standards and best practices.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python for infrastructure automation.
• Proven experience using Ansible to automate infrastructure deployment and configuration.
• Experience automating repetitive infrastructure tasks involving servers, networking, compute, or middleware environments.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
