Sopra Steria’s Aerospace Defence and Security business seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to support a large scale project in Farnborough, with an “Automation first” mindset. The role requires deep VMware expertise and automation scripting for provisioning.

You will work on‑site in Farnborough; DV clearance eligibility is required due to sensitive clients. Salary up to £65,000 with valuable benefits and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Deep VMware knowledge with automation scripting and provisioning.
• Experience managing ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, and resource pools.
• Knowledge of hyper-converged storage and VDI environments.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of VMware vSphere administration.
• Management of ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, and resource pools.
• Designing, deploying, and maintaining hyper‑converged storage environments
• Automation: PowerCLI scripting, template creation, and automated provisioning
