Position Summary:

This is a position within the Legal Department held by a lawyer with strong legal skills, capable of delivering business-oriented, effective, and efficient legal services, project management, and strategic counseling on significant business or corporate matters or in a particular specialty practice area (e.g., litigation, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, privacy law, health law, technology law, or employment and labor law).

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• The lawyer is responsible for delivering effective legal services to clients.
• Handle legal projects, matters, and issues with minimal supervision, demonstrating technical legal skills.
• Manage projects, especially contracts or other matters requiring legal and business responsibilities.
• Represent Cencora and client groups in business contracts and negotiations.
• Provide legally compliant, business-oriented recommendations.
• Solve straightforward problems, analyze solutions, and assess options using standard procedures.
• Multitask and prioritize to ensure timely completion of work.
• Adapt to change and seek developmental opportunities.

Experience & Educational Requirements:

• 4 to 8 years of legal experience, with expertise in pharmaceutical law, contracts, and health law.
• Graduate of an accredited law school and admitted to practice.

The role is comparable to a senior associate or counsel, capable of performing sophisticated work independently and supervising others.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability requirements:

• Knowledge of legal concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong background in pharmaceutical industry laws and practices.
• Knowledge of healthcare, regulatory, and corporate law, including UK and EU regulations, litigation, and contracts.
• Experience working with global pharmaceutical or healthcare companies, leading negotiations and strategy.
• Ability to supervise outside counsel and build industry knowledge.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret legal trends and use standard tools like Microsoft Office.
