Job summary

Downsend School in Leatherhead seeks an experienced Higher Level Learning Support Assistant to join our SEND Team. You will provide in-class and small-group support, deliver strategies from EHCPs, and help students access learning in a caring, inclusive environment.

You will collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals, maintain records in Provision Map and iSAMS, and help students build confidence, organisation, and resilience to thrive during term-time.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with SEND.
• Excellent communication with students, parents and staff.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage records.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and small-group support to students.
• Deliver interventions and support strategies outlined in EHCPs.
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes with Provision Map and iSAMS.
• Support emotional wellbeing and inclusive learning environment.
