Job summary

Esher Church of England High School is seeking a Senior Learning Support Assistant to lead the SEMH strand within the learning support team and deliver ELSA interventions for students with EHCPs. The role includes overseeing key working and supporting pupils in class to access the curriculum while promoting wellbeing and personal development.

Experience with young people, a DBS disclosure, and the ability to model supportive practice are essential.

This Senior Learning Support Assistant post at Esher Church of England High School leads the Social, Emotional and Mental Health strand of the school's learning support team. The work is in-class support for students with special educational needs, aimed at engagement with lessons and everyday school life. The post takes on SEMH intervention, including ELSA sessions for students with EHCPs, and oversight of key working, alongside two existing Senior LSAs. Previous experience of working with young people is essential, and visa sponsorship is not available.
