Job summary

Esher Church of England High School is seeking a Senior Learning Support Assistant to lead the SEMH strand within the learning support team and deliver ELSA interventions for students with EHCPs. The role includes overseeing key working and supporting pupils in class to access the curriculum while promoting wellbeing and personal development.

Experience with young people, a DBS disclosure, and the ability to model supportive practice are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with young people.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SEMH strand within the learning support team.
• Deliver ELSA interventions to students with EHCPs.
• Support and oversee key working.
• Support key students in class to access the curriculum.
• Promote students' wellbeing, behaviour and personal development.
• Undertake the wider responsibilities of an LSA in lessons.
• Model effective support practice and guide colleagues.
• Work with the Assistant SENCo to ensure consistent SEMH provision.
