Job summary

Kisimul Group Limited is recruiting a Senior Learning Assistant to coordinate remote learning programmes and advise tutors and leaders on learner progress and engagement. The role requires autonomy to use initiative and adapt approaches, with prior experience supporting adults and young people with learning disabilities, including autism.

The position is mainly based in our Adult service in Retford, with travel reimbursements for required trips. Salary ranges from £22,307.10 to £25,889.37 (DOE).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults and young people with learning disabilities, including autism.
• Ability to use initiative and adapt approaches in a specialist environment.
• Experience in coordinating learning programmes and advising staff on learner progress.

Responsibilities

• Observe pupil performance and use school systems to evaluate learning activities.
• Design and carry out programmes devised by a multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide small group or teaching cover activities with assigned pupils.
• Mentor and support new staff with induction and competency development.
• Support pupils to manage behaviour and develop communication skills.
• Manage additional tasks such as medication, first aid, inductions, rotas, lunch-time coordination.
• Complete documentation and reports within set timeframes and coach staff.
