Job description

The Senior Learning & Enablement Manager is a manager-player role, with approximately 50% of time focused on strategic direction and people management, and 50% focused on hands‑on design, facilitation and delivery of enablement and training.

The role owns the end-to-end design, implementation and optimisation of learning programmes that empower teams to maximise their impact, spanning product knowledge and commercial best practices. They are responsible for cultivating a culture of continuous learning, aligning enablement with key business outcomes, and ensuring Patsnap teams are equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive.

The Senior Learning and Enablement Manager sets the direction for training and enablement across departments, while also being an active practitioner. This means personally designing learning experiences, creating training content and resources, facilitating live sessions, coaching learners and ensuring programmes translate into meaningful changes in skills, behaviours and performance.

The role manages a small team of enablement specialists, owns the budget and roadmap for learning platforms, and reports directly to senior leadership on L&D performance and progress. Success in this role requires someone equally comfortable setting the strategy and rolling up their sleeves to deliver it.

This is a hybrid position in our London, UK office with the expectation to work from the office 1-2 days per week. You are welcome to work out of the office more often if you wish!

We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where talent thrives and ideas bloom.

What You'll Be Doing:
Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and drive a holistic global L&D strategy aligned with Patsnap's business goals and GTM objectives.

  • Lead the vision and roadmap for technical product enablement across all internal teams.

  • Lead the vision and roadmap for commercial enablement across all customer-facing teams, including but not limited to the SPICED sales qualification framework.

  • Translate strategic priorities into practical enablement plans and personally contribute to their execution and delivery.

  • Ensure learning initiatives are inclusive, scalable, and adaptive to market, product, and organisational change.

  • Own and manage the L&D budget, including vendor relationships and platform renewals (e.g. Docebo, Speechify & Winning by Design).

  • Report directly to SLT on the status and impact of training initiatives across the company.

Hands‑on Training & Enablement Delivery:
  • Act as a lead facilitator and trainer, personally delivering a significant proportion of enablement programmes across the business.

  • Design and facilitate engaging live and virtual training across areas including product knowledge, industry knowledge, commercial skills and role‑specific capabilities.

  • Build training programmes and materials from the ground up, including facilitator guides, presentations, exercises, e‑learning content, assessments, certifications, toolkits and just‑in‑time resources.

  • Adapt facilitation and training approaches to effectively support basic, intermediate and advanced learners.

  • Translate complex product, industry and commercial concepts into clear, practical and engaging learning experiences.

  • Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, role plays and practical exercises that allow learners to apply new skills and knowledge.

Program Development:
  • Own cross‑departmental enablement planning, consolidating requests, prioritising delivery, and aligning training initiatives with product and commercial/GTM milestones.

  • Partner with departmental leaders to develop role, vertical, ICP and use‑case specific learning paths to support GTM priorities.

  • Continually refresh existing learning pathways to ensure accuracy and relevance.

  • Deploy a blended learning model, incorporating live training, e‑learning modules, toolkits, and just‑in‑time resources.

Employee Growth:
  • Partner with regional and departmental leaders to ensure consistent delivery of relevant learning programs across geographies and business units.

  • Partner with P&C to support the delivery of manager coaching as required and ensure any externally delivered enablement is repeatable and scalable.

  • Collaborate with people leaders to embed learning into performance reviews, promotion pathways, and succession planning to create an integrated talent development ecosystem.

Measurement & Optimization:
  • Establish clear KPIs to assess the success and ROI of learning programs, including behaviour change, sales performance, and product adoption.

  • Track training completion, certification, and adoption, presenting progress to senior leaders.

  • Use feedback loops, post‑training assessments, and observations from hands‑on delivery to iterate and continuously improve training quality.

  • Create dashboards and quarterly reports to visualize learning engagement and impact across the business.

People Leadership:
  • Lead, motivate and develop a small team of enablement specialists, creating a high‑performing, collaborative and accountable team culture.

  • Set clear individual and team objectives and KPIs aligned with wider enablement and business priorities, using regular 1-2-1s to track performance, provide feedback and ensure clarity on what success looks like.

  • Coach and develop team members, identifying individual development needs and creating opportunities to build skills, confidence and effectiveness.

  • Delegate and oversee projects and responsibilities across the team, balancing strengths, development opportunities, capacity and business priorities, while proactively managing progress, risks and blockers to ensure high‑quality, timely delivery.

About You:
  • Significant experience in learning and development, sales enablement, product enablement, or a related role within a growing, international organisation.

  • A strong track record of developing learning strategies while remaining hands‑on in designing and delivering engaging in‑person and virtual programmes.

  • Experience supporting B2B customer-facing teams, with a good understanding of sales processes and enablement practices; familiarity with SPICED or a similar methodology is beneficial.

  • The ability to translate complex product, technical, and commercial concepts into clear, practical learning experiences.

  • Strong leadership, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills, including experience managing and developing a small team.

  • A data‑informed approach to learning, with experience using learning technologies, feedback, and performance measures to evaluate impact and continuously improve programmes.

  • You are an engaging and enthusiastic learning professional who can bring energy to complex and technical subject matter, keeping learners motivated and attentive.

  • You are skilled at simplifying complex concepts and adapting your approach to the knowledge, needs and experience of different audiences, prioritising clarity and practical application over unnecessary complexity.

  • You are comfortable securing buy‑in for learning initiatives, navigating competing priorities and demonstrating why skill development deserves time and attention even in fast‑paced, commercially focused environments.

  • Experience in a B2B SaaS, technology, data, research, intellectual property, or innovation-led organisation would be advantageous.

Benefits & Perks:

A genuinely strong sales culture we’re really proud of. High-performing but low ego, social, and dynamic. It’s a team that supports each other, shares best practice, raises standards, and celebrates wins properly together. Alongside a great product, it’s one of the best parts of working here.
