Job summary

Polypipe Building Services is seeking a Senior Lean Practitioner to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, warehousing and support functions, delivering sustainable waste reduction and performance gains through lean methods.

You will lead Kaizen events, coach teams, embed the Genuit Business System at the site, and mentor colleagues while partnering with operations to sustain benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Lean or continuous improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles, tools and problem-solving methodologies; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
• Experience facilitating Kaizen events and managing stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or developing others; strong learning focus.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and identifying improvements.
• Experience delivering training in Lean tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver continuous improvement across manufacturing, warehousing, and support functions to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Plan, facilitate, and lead Kaizen workshops and improvement events.
• Support root-cause analysis and structured problem solving to boost performance.
• Assist with rollout and development of the Genuit Business System across site.
• Monitor and report benefits of CI activities and ensure sustainability.

Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Lean Practitioner to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your continuous improvement expertise while supporting the rollout of the Genuit Business System (GBS) across the business.

Working across manufacturing, warehousing, and support functions, you will help identify and deliver sustainable improvements, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance through the application of lean methodologies and problem-solving techniques. The role offers valuable hands-on experience in continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the identification and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, warehousing, and support functions, focusing on waste reduction and process efficiency.
• Plan, facilitate, and lead Kaizen workshops, improvement events, and process improvement activities.
• Support structured problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis, to address operational challenges and improve business performance.
• Assist with the rollout, embedding, and ongoing development of the Genuit Business System (GBS) across the site.
• Monitor, measure, and report on continuous improvement activities, ensuring benefits are captured, communicated, and sustained.
• Provide coaching and guidance on lean principles and continuous improvement techniques to build capability across the workforce.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by engaging employees at all levels and encouraging participation in improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• An individual who has proven experience delivering Lean or continuous improvement projects
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles, tools and problem-solving methodologies - certified in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
• Experience of facilitating Kaizen events and managing stakeholders.
• Experience of mentoring, coaching or developing others, with a desire to support the learning and development of others.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Experience in delivering training in Lean tools and methodologies.
