Job summary

SBS Skipton Building Society is recruiting a Stress Testing Senior Lead in its Group Financial Planning and Analysis team. The role focuses on developing the stress testing framework, supervising ICAAP, Recovery Planning and climate risk analyses, and delivering clear insights to senior stakeholders.

You will join a small, skilled team in a mutual organisation that values customer focus and long-term resilience, with a hybrid working pattern and substantial governance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong stress testing knowledge including PRA and Bank of England requirements.
• Experience coordinating end-to-end stress testing exercises (design, execution, review and reporting).
• Ability to translate complex stress testing outputs into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Experience developing ICAAP, Recovery Plan and climate scenario analysis papers with governance and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and enhancement of the Group's stress testing framework and operating model.
• Lead stress testing delivery for ICAAP, Recovery Planning and climate risk scenarios.
• Design stress testing scenarios and provide independent review and interpretation of results.
• Deliver high quality stress testing papers for Board, Exec and regulatory committees.
• Maintain stress testing governance forums with clear agendas and robust challenge.
• Provide expert challenge to assumptions and collaborate across Finance, Risk and Treasury teams.
