Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London invites applications for a Lead Software Engineer within the Data Analytics team. You will be a core technical contributor, building trusted market-leading technology while migrating to AWS and architecting greenfield projects.

The role focuses on KDB-based data storage and real-time/historical access, with leadership across SDLC, security, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

Deep understanding of KDB and Q language with 7+ years of professional experience using KDB, and at least 2 years in a Lead role.
Experience delivering design, development, testing, and operational stability for large data systems.
Proficiency in automation, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and security across the SDLC.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions and design development with ability to tackle complex problems.
Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
Aims to improve operational stability by remediating recurring issues and automating processes.
Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies and best practices.
Contributes to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and respect.
Develops core systems and frameworks using KDB.
Manages work by leading the book of work and SDLC improvements.
Delivers scalable real-time processing solutions using agile methodology.
Captures requirements and delivers solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
Partners with application support teams to maintain and support the platform.
