Job summary

London Stock Exchange in the United Kingdom is seeking an ambitious Lead Software Engineer to help us build the future of Digital Rights as part of the LSEG-Microsoft Partnership Data Platform. You will design and implement solutions in the complex DRM domain and lead a squad of engineers.

You will mentor juniors, drive secure, high-quality code, and champion AI-driven automation across the SDLC while collaborating with senior stakeholders and enterprise architects to align with product goals

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience, with C# .NET.
• 3+ years leading successful engineering squads.
• Experience with AI tools and cloud-based SDLC.
• Experience building in public cloud, ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of well-architected principles.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• As a Lead Software Engineer, you will help to design and build solutions in the complex and challenging domain of Digital Rights Management


• You will lead a squad of engineers, maintaining focus on secure, quality code whilst providing guidance and mentorship


• You will use AI tools and automation to maximise efficiency and repeatability across the Software Development Lifecycle


• You will participate in strategy and design discussions with key stakeholders from across the programme


• You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment and lead by example, developing solutions in Public Cloud


• You’ll be a strong, confident communicator, comfortable liaising with senior leaders from across the organisation


• Providing technical leadership to software engineers in your squad


• Inspiring and mentoring more-junior engineers


• Work with enterprise architects to design optimized solutions which meet product requirements


• Using and advocating AI tools to maximise developer efficiency whilst ensuring appropriate guard rails are defined and implemented


• Coding secure, efficient, and effective solutions

• Providing support to Reliability Engineering teams releasing the software that your team have built
