Syngenta Crop Protection is seeking a Senior Formulation Development Chemist for the Formulation Development Department within the Product Technology and Engineering Group at Jealott's Hill, UK. The role involves leading formulation workstreams, delivering data, and collaborating across functions to bring products to market.

The candidate should hold a PhD in Chemistry or equivalent industrial experience, with strong formulation development, data science, and project-management skills, plus the

Qualifications

• First degree in Chemistry or closely related scientific discipline, with PhD in Chemistry or related field, or relevant industrial experience.
• Basic knowledge of project management and hands-on lab experience.
• Basic knowledge of data science to support experiment design and data analysis.
• Experience in developing formulations for commercial applications and understanding trade-offs in product development.

Responsabilités

• Lead formulation scientist within technical projects to bring formulated products to market.
• Define formulation workplans independently, deliver and validate data.
• Engage with technical and non-technical functions across the organization.
• Identify opportunities to generate IP in projects.
• Provide technical support of formulated products in the market.
• Train colleagues and supervise less experienced staff when required.
• Develop broad technical knowledge of experimental techniques and stay updated in the field.
