Job summary

University of Nottingham is seeking a Senior Lawyer (Regulatory and Contentious) to act as the lead legal advisor for regulatory and contentious matters. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, supervising the Regulatory and Contentious Lawyers and working with colleagues across the Commercial and Employment teams.

The role reports to the Deputy Director of Legal Services within a recently restructured, inclusive Legal Services team and supports ESG initiatives and broader university

Qualifications

• Strong experience in regulatory and contentious matters at all stages of litigation.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement in a complex environment.
• Experience in developing expertise in adjacent areas and working in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal advisor and in-house point of contact for regulatory and contentious matters.
• Supervise and manage Regulatory and Contentious Lawyers within the team.
• Collaborate across Senior Lawyers in Commercial and Employment areas.
