Job summary

Redline Group is seeking a Senior Laser Systems Engineer for a hands-on role in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. You will design, develop and support bespoke laser systems for specialised industrial applications, guiding projects from concept through to manufacture, installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing complex laser & optical based systems within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of design, system integration and engineering documentation, with experience producing technical drawings.
• Experience with installation, servicing, fault finding or commissioning of complex laser engineering equipment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Development of bespoke laser systems, including component selection, system layouts and detailed engineering drawings.
• Managing the design process, ensuring projects are delivered to specification, on time and within budget.
• Supporting the build, testing, installation and commissioning of laser systems, providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
• Carrying out servicing, fault finding and technical support activities to ensure systems continue to operate at optimum performance.
