Redline Group Ltd. is seeking a Junior Electromechanical Technician in Oxfordshire to begin an engineering career. You will assist in assembling bespoke machinery, wiring, and integrating laser-based equipment under guidance, using engineering drawings.

The role offers hands-on training, working with a skilled team to learn assembly, wiring, and quality assurance, with a clear path toward a long-term career in specialist engineering and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Interest in electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Ability to read engineering drawings or willingness to learn.
• Detail-oriented with methodical approach to work.
• Experience using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, spanners, wire strippers and drills.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring, assembly techniques or mechanical fitting.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
• Previous experience in an engineering/ manufacturing/ assembly/ technician environment would be advantageous but not essential.
• GCSEs, A Levels, BTEC qualifications demonstrating aptitude for electrical and mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembling bespoke machinery from schematic and layout drawings.
• Support wiring and build of precision laser-based machinery and equipment.
• Install electrical components in accordance with drawings.
• Carry out electrical wiring, module wiring and soldered connector assembly under guidance.
• Use hand tools and drills to complete build activities.
• Assist fault finding, testing, quality assurance and repair activities.
• Work closely with experienced team members to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment at all times.
