Opsydia, based near Oxford, is seeking a Systems Architect to own system definition and interfaces for next-gen laser-photonics products. You will lead architecture, requirements, verifications across hardware, software, optics, and mechanics, with a focus on traceability and risk management.

The role is full-time with hybrid working, requiring deep photonics and laser systems experience, preferably with a PhD or MSc in physics/optical engineering.

Qualifications

• Deep technical background in photonics, laser systems or precision instrumentation.
• Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Physics, Optical Engineering, or related field.

Responsabilités

• Own system definition, requirements and interfaces for next-gen laser-photonics products.
• Maintain system architecture and traceability across hardware, software, optics and mechanics.
• Lead integration, verification and risk assessment across disciplines.
