Senior Laravel DevOps Engineer — AWS, CI/CD & IaC

Job summary

DeterTech is seeking a DevOps Laravel Engineer to build and maintain the infrastructure, automation and deployment pipelines that keep our Laravel-based applications running reliably and securely at scale.

You will own the AWS cloud footprint, implement IaC and CI/CD practices, and work with the wider IT and development teams to ensure high availability, disaster recovery and efficient deployments across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role supporting PHP/Laravel applications in production.
• Strong Linux administration skills and experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Ansible).
• Commercial background configuring and managing production AWS cloud environments (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caching (Redis).
• Security-conscious mindset: secrets management, access control, vulnerability management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and continuously improve the cloud infrastructure hosting Laravel apps using infrastructure-as-code.
• Design, implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, build and deployment.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting; ensure backups, DR and security controls.
• Collaborate with developers to scale, document processes and improve platform reliability.
