Job summary

SSE's SSEN Transmission is seeking a Senior Land Manager to lead the land and property rights for major Scotland-based infrastructure projects. You’ll secure rights, plan land assembly strategies and manage complex negotiations to support delivery.

The role sits within a team delivering national-scale networks across Scotland, with a base in one of several Scottish locations. You will develop strategies, engage with landowners and stakeholders, coordinate data and statutory inputs, and ensure

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Scottish landownership and complex land matters.
• Deep knowledge of land rights, wayleaves and land acquisition.
• Knowledge of Electricity Act 1989 and Compulsory Purchase Act.
• Understanding of energy networks and regulated environments.
• Membership or progression toward RICS or CAAV.

Responsibilities

• Lead land and property activity for major infrastructure projects and secure rights for delivery.
• Develop land assembly strategies using negotiated agreements and powers.
• Lead engagement with landowners and stakeholders for fair outcomes.
• Coordinate land referencing, data and input from multiple disciplines.
• Build relationships with developers, authorities and regulators.
